Gamer

So here we are once more. Excited about playing games, animating a bit, watching the world turn from a tiny coffee store near Coburg market in Melbourne. All the good stuff.
I've been reading Hyperbole and a Half, and she is AMAZING. Perhaps the best blogger. Ever. No joke.

Go and have a read if you haven't already. She draws, she's attractive, creative, interesting, funny. Ticking all the boxes. Making a book soon, probably going to make lots of money off of it and travel to Australia to see me. Probably.

So I'm conducting this little social experiment right now with myself. It's towards me becoming more of a gamer again. And not just playing a little bit every now and then, actually immersing myself in an MMORPG - I'm thinking of EVE. Looks like a fun, complex sand boxy sort of adventure, with the advent of Dust 514 things are looking very cool on that front indeed. So I thought I'd cash in (or out rather) on that action. The experiment is, can I create a successful/renown alter online ego/character and still work/animate/live?

It's an interesting time for me to choose to do this because I just got a job, will be animating again soon for The New Kind (which is looking amazing, comicon very soon, oooofffff shit) and yeah, just general life stuff. But that's all part of the 'experiment' aspect of what I'm doing here. Can it be successful? Will I get over obsessed with my online life and neglect real life? Will I forget both and just animate for 12 hours a day? WHO KNOWS!?

Regardless, I'd like to write about it on here as it all happens. So here goes.

Currently animating a ball throw (a guy, throwing a ball). It's a personal project and not related to anything important. Just me keeping my habit up.

Currently downloading the PC version of EVE. And looking forward to seeing if I can get BETA access for Dust514 (which I'm really excited to get into).

Wish me luck!
