I've been wondering recently - as I do - what makes an internet blog, meme, channel and or page gain popularity. I'm not saying I WANT popularity on this web space. In fact, I only want to be read/watched by both my friends and the people I respect and share interests with.
People such as Grace Helbig (of DailyGrace - http://www.youtube.com/user/MyDamnChannel?feature=g-user-bul) would have us believe it's substance over quality. Make a video every day for a few years and SURELY someone will have to take notice and tell their grandmother. However, Charlie of Charlieissocoollike http://www.youtube.com/user/charlieissocoollike is of the school of thought where by content should be more thought out, planned, quality over quantity. Both of which have HUGE followings on YouTube.
So if I animate everyday, and make it all great quality... Will that make me a successful/famous animator? Probably.
